Blue Umbrellas

Aden (1978). Large [32" tall x 72" wide].
Lavender flowers early season.
Hosta 'Blue Umbrellas' forms a huge mound of large, blue-green, somewhat corrugated, shiny leaves that cup downward like an umbrella. Mature leaves can measure 15.5" long and 12" wide. Different from other big blues in that it is not a slow grower but rather a fast growing plant that becomes a nice size in no time. It also tolerates full sun better than most other hostas. Excellent slug resistance. A hybrid of 'Tokudama' x 'Elegans'. Multi award winner. Fertile.
This hosta is a winner of the prestigious 'Popularity Poll' from the American Hosta Society. This variety has been named one of the very favorites of all hostas by the majority of the AHS members in an annual poll. Basically, this plant is "loved by all". An excellent choice for your garden.
