WHICH HOSTAS TAKE SUN?

All hostas grow best when exposed to some sun, with morning sun usually being the best. The following varieties tolerate more sun than most and can be used in the landscape where several hours of direct sunshine occur, even mid day sun. They usually fare best if kept well watered.

Don't be afraid to experiment. Hostas are generally very forgiving. If you plant them in too much sun and they burn, replant them to a more shady location. They will grow back the next year as if nothing bad ever happened.
