USDA Hardiness Zones 5-9.
Grass carex elata 'Aurea'. Also known as 'Bowles Golden'. Brilliant yellow blades appear to glow in the landscape, especially bright in Spring. Grows best in very moist conditions. Makes a nice companion plant to hostas, ferns and astilbes. A random, faint, light green vertical stripe can sometimes be spotted on the long blades. Native to Europe.
Considered a bog plant this is a good choice for ponds, yet grows very well in moist gardens.
