Hosta 'Gentle Spirit'

Hosta 'Gentle Spirit' is an interesting sport of hosta yingeri. The dark green leaves are of good substance and are shiny and somewhat wavy, with a thin white margin. In spring when the eyes emerge the back of the leaves are flushed with red at the tip. Individual leaves measure 6" long by 4" wide. The spider-shaped purple flowers tower high above the clump late in the season, up to 18 " tall. All these unusual traits make for a wonderful little plant. (Zilis)

HARDINESS ZONES: 3,4,5,6,7,8,9.
FLOWER: Purple, late season.
