Geisha
Description
Japan. Medium [18" tall x 36" wide].
Purple flowers mid season.
Hosta 'Geisha' is also known as, or actually correctly named 'Ani Machi'. Sometimes it is also labeled "Ani Machi Giboshi". This is not the 1983 plant that Kevin Vaughn registered. Despite all the confusion of its name this plant performs wonderfully. It emerges in Spring with a gold center and wide green margins. The center slowly darkens as the season progresses. The wavy, blade-shaped leaves feature a very twisted tip. The flower scapes show some purple-red spotting.
PLANT SIZE: This plant is shipped well rooted and growing in a deep 3" pot.
