Hosta 'First Mate'
It's back!
Hosta 'First Mate' is a tetraploid sport of 'Kabitan'. It features long, wavy, gold leaves with wide dark green margins. The coloration is more pronounced and the growth is more upright than its "parent". A strong grower with lavender flowers that tower 24" tall, well above the colorful mound of foliage. (Machen 2003)
MATURE HEIGHT: 10".
MATURE SPREAD: 21".
HARDINESS ZONES: 3,4,5,6,7,8,9.
FLOWER: Dark lavender, mid season.
SUN EXPOSURE: Part sun to shade.
SIZE SHIPPED: 2.5" pot.
