Ferns

Ferns are plants that thrive best in moist, partly shady conditions. They will also grow nicely in full shade. Ferns prefer well draining soil. Once established ferns are extremely hardy. All of our varieties are rabbit resistant. Most of our varieties are non-invasive specimen plants. Fern fronds make lovely additions to fresh-cut flower bouquets. Ferns also make friendly companions to hostas, heuchera, tricyrtis and other shade-tolerant plants.

Plants are shipped live, potted & growing. We begin shipping ferns in June and continue through October. Plants purchased in winter (Nov-May) will be shipped in early June.

Kindly note: disease-free vegetatively produced ferns usually take a few years to display their full splendor. Our 2-3 year old plants look really great but will need another season or two to show their complete uniqueness, size, texture and color.
