Hosta of the Year 2020
Hosta 'Dancing Queen'. This variety emerges bright yellow in spring and keeps its yellow color all season long. The large leaves, measuring 13" x 7" upon maturity, feature prominent pie crust edges and attractive veining. Pale lavender flowers appear about 10" above the foliage. We have found 'Dancing Queen' to be a good strong grower. A hosta 'Split Personality' seeding. (Terpening/Scheer 2005)
Each year the American Hosta Growers Association selects 'the best of the best', and honors one variety as "Hosta of the Year". These special selections are acknowledged for being unique, easy to grow and loved by many.
