BRUNNERA SELECTIONS

The Brunnera is a classic shade loving plant that grows best in moist, rich soil. Morning sun can be beneficial in the North, but Southern gardeners are advised to grow them in full shade, with lots of moisture. Once established this woodland perennial requires little care. They are deer-resistant and make nice companion plants to hostas, ferns and tricyrtis.

Each Spring delicate looking little blue flowers appear. The flowers make nice cut flowers. This hardy perennial is known to self-seed, making it a kind of ground cover. Thanks to its fertile trait there are many exciting new varieties available today. We are proud to offer some of the best ones on the market today. All of our plants are reproduced vegetatively, ensuring that the special traits of each mother plant are maintained.

Plants are shipped potted and growing in deep 3" pots. We begin shipping most brunnera in May and continue through the end of October. You are welcome to select a custom ship date or we will ship at an appropriate time for your area. kindly note that while brunnera are absolutely beautiful garden plants they are not happy in containers. Your plant my arrive to you with imperfect foliage, often a browning of the margins.
