Lavender flowers mid season.
Hosta 'Blue Lightning' is a beautiful cultivar with blue-green leaves that are heavily streaked in yellow. The streaks turn creamy white later in the season. 'Blue Lightning' is fertile, often passing its streaky nature on to its seedlings. The same beautiful irregular coloration on its foliage also appears on its scapes and seed pods. A fast growing member of the 'Blue Umbrellas' family. Mature leaves measure 12" long by 9" wide leaves. Very limited quantities are available each year.
A great plant for breeding programs. The good substance of the leaves and its streaked nature make it quite valuable. We find it to be strong growing and very fertile.
PLANT SIZE: This hosta is shipped well rooted and growing in a 1 quart pot.
